  • I’m obsessed with YouTube documentaries. One of my favorite creators is Wendover Productions. You can’t really go wrong watching any of their videos. I thought their News You Missed in 2020 series was really well done.

  • I’m a huge Larry David fan - I love Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I enjoyed this clip of Jeff Garland on Joe Rogan talking about how Curb episodes are made.

  • Negotiation-as-a-service is an interesting idea. Buyer is doing this for negotiating software pricing for large companies. And Candor is doing salary negotiation for top developer talent.

  • Slack bots are interesting to me. Karma is pulling in $18k/mo right now by basically doing Reddit Gold for Slack.

✏ Thought of the Week

I have been learning about Leo Strauss this week. His thoughts on esoteric vs exoteric writings are particularly interesting to me.

One point he makes is that esoteric writing (i.e. disguising with metaphor or symbols) is an important mechanism for passing on knowledge in the face of unstable governments.

Got cool stuff to share? I’ll always give you the ole (h/t). Include your Twitter link.

Until next week.
